How Can Veneers Change Your Smile?

Veneers can improve the appearance of your teeth. The tooth-coloured shells can help brighten shade or improve shape. You may choose veneers to restore the look of teeth that are chipped, cracked, or uneven. Veneers can help with minor alignment or size fixes, but severe misalignment may require orthodontics.

What Can You Expect During a Veneers Procedure?

Veneers are custom-made for your tooth. Before we apply the make or the shells, we’ll discuss your goals, evaluate your teeth health, and help you select a material. There are 2 common types of veneers, porcelain and composite, and we also offer Lumineers.

Creating Your Custom Fit

Before applying your veneers, we’ll take a mould of each tooth to create the custom fit.

While it’s possible to only get one veneer to cover a chipped or broken tooth, many patients choose between 6–8 veneers to achieve a symmetrical, even look. The most common are the top front 8 teeth.

Preparing & Polishing the Tooth

A mild chemical is applied to the tooth’s surface, creating a roughened surface to help the material stick to the enamel (outer tooth layer). Then, the veneers are bonded individually with resin cement. After the placement, an ultraviolet light is used to harden the bonding material.

Finally, we’ll polish the veneers to create a smooth, natural look.
